The veterinary care provided is excellent - making sure your mare has the best possible chance of
being in foal when she comes home.

Racehorse Rest & Recuperation
Girsonfield is the ideal place to send your horse for rest, recuperation
or even to get ready to go into training. We have a very small team so your
horse will get the best of personal attention. We have had many success
stories of horses coming here from trainers to recover from injury and
wind operations. The Vet put the inhaler that he thought one of our
patients would need back in the car when he saw the 'fresh air' stable his patient
was residing in, sure enough he made a full recovery.
With the facilities of open pastures, horse walker, lunge pen, all weather paddock and menage - we can rest or train most horses. Each would have an individual training plan depending upon his/ her needs. For example a filly born here on the stud by our stallion Endoli is about to start her racing career. She is exercised on the walker, mouthed and lunged - then she is booked into a Newmarket trainer to start her education proper. The idea is that she will already be a well handled and balanced young lady before she meets the big, wide world. Prices start from £80.00 per week.
